A method for producing a shaped sheet metal component having wall thicknesses differing from each other is disclosed including providing a sheet metal material having a constant wall thickness, pre-shaping the sheet metal material into a preform by means of a hold-down press, producing at least one bulge in an inner region such that the material is stretched and has a reduced wall thickness, flattening and/or extending the produced preform, cutting the sheet metal material in order to form a blank before, during, or after the pre-shaping, and shaping the blank into the shaped sheet metal component.

An axle or chassis component for an axle of a motor vehicle is disclosed. At least a part of the axle or chassis component is provided by a one-piece and single-material formed component. The formed component has at least three regions, wherein one region has a smaller wall thickness in relation to the other two regions, and the region with a smaller wall thickness is arranged between the two regions with a greater wall thickness.

A body connection and a method of manufacturing the body connection is disclosed. A body connecting sleeve is formed in two parts from a spacer sleeve arranged in an axle auxiliary frame and from a body connecting sleeve which is coupled only to the upper shell of the axle auxiliary frame and substantially corresponds to the length of the centering extension. The body connecting sleeve is coupled exclusively in a form-fitting manner to the upper shell.

The invention relates to a method for producing a torsional profile from a blank. The torsional profile has torsionally rigid tubular end sections, a torsionally flexible U-shaped middle longitudinal section and, between the middle longitudinal section and the end sections, transition sections which change from the U-shaped cross section to the tubular cross section.
