Abstract:
A connector device (C) for mounting a clip (E) of a windshield wiper contact portion on a curved end (2) of an arm comprises a component (1) having a substantially U-shaped longitudinal profile with two legs (7, 8) designed to lodge in the concave part of the curved end (2) of the arm. Component (1) comprises mechanism (A) for attaching the component to arm (3) and a mechanism (R) for receiving a shaft (6) on the side opposite the base of the U. The length (1) of one leg (7) of the U intended to be placed against the arm (3) is greater than the length (h) of the other leg (8) of the U intended to be placed against the curved part (9) of the end of the arm. Attachment mechanism (A) comprises at least one initial fastening component (14) towards an end (13) of the longer leg (7) of the U intended to cooperate with a complementary component (15) provided on the arm (3 ), the longer leg (7) comprising at its end a gripping device designed to project transversely from the arm.
Abstract:
A windshield or screen wiper assembly includes a first arm which is rotatably mounted about a first fixed axis and a second arm which is mounted rotatably about a second fixed axis, substantially parallel to the first axis but offset with respect thereto. The two arms are substantially parallel to each other and their ends furthest from the axes of rotation are connected together by means of a link which is pivoted on each of these ends of the arms, while a wiper blade is connected to this link. One of arms is a driving arm while the other arm is freely mounted for rotation about its axis and is driven by the link from the driving arm. The effective lengths of the two arms between their pivots with the link and their axes of rotation are different. The assembly includes a second wiper blade the length of which is much smaller than that of the first blade, the second blade being situated closer to the axes of rotation. The orientation of the second blade with respect to the first blade is different between one extreme position of the sweep and the other, in such a way as to enable the swept area of the surface being wiped to be increased.
Abstract:
A windshield wiper blade holder has an auxiliary lever arm having first and second free ends. Each one of the free ends presses against the back of a windshield wiper blade for increasing the force applied to the windshield wiper blade when the curvature of a curved windshield increases. The auxiliary lever arm is preferrably hinged to the armature at a point between the hinging of the armature to a driving arm of a vehicle and an end of the armature to which a compensator is pivotably attached. Various compensators and secondary compensators can be pivotably attached to the armature for holding a wiper blade and for cooperating with the auxiliary arm for enhancing the force pressing the wiper blade against the convex windshield.
