摘要： Disclosed is a device and a method for maintaining and operating a flame. The device has a burner, a burner attachment having an outlet geometry, wherein on a side of the burner attachment facing away from the burner, an anode is provided on one side of the outlet geometry of the burner attachment. A dielectric is provided on the other side of the outlet geometry, wherein a cathode is located in the dielectric. The device and method: do not require continuous flame monitoring; positively influence the deposition behavior of layer-forming components of the fuel gas flame; and reduce the thermal impact of the burner and the operating costs thereof.
