摘要: A combustion system includes a burner assembly, an electrode positioned within a combustion volume and configured to apply electrical energy to a flame supported by the burner assembly, and a dielectric electrode support extending through a furnace wall into the combustion volume and configured to support the electrode and further configured to be cooled by a coolant fluid circulated therethrough. The electrode support has coolant ports in fluid communication with a coolant channel extending within electrode support. During operation of the combustion system, a fluid coolant flows through the electrode support, holding a temperature of the electrode to within a selected range.

摘要: A perforated flame holder and burner including a perforated flame holder provides reduced oxides of nitrogen (NOx) during operation. The perforated flame holder includes a pattern of elongated apertures extending between a proximal and a distal surface of the flame holder relative to a fuel nozzle. The perforated flame holder can provide a significantly reduced flame height while maintaining heat output from the burner.

摘要: A device (1) for electromagnetic treatment of fuels by means of an electromagnetic field comprises at least a resonance oscillator module (D, E, F) for generating an electric alternating field, a supply module (B) for supplying an alternating voltage to the at least one resonance oscillator module (D, E, F). The resonance oscillator module (D, E, F) comprises a plurality of oscillating circuits mutually connected, with a plurality of coils (6) and a plurality of capacitors (3, 4). Each coil (6) is formed of precisely one closed winding and each capacitor (3, 4) is connected to two coils (6) in such a way that connection points of the capacitors (3, 4) are distributed along the closed winding and are spaced from one another. Each coil (6) is connected in such a way to at least a further coil (6) that the connected coils (6) have no common capacitor connection.

摘要: A device for optimizing hydrocarbon combustion has at least one dipole antenna comprising first and second wires extending in opposite directions. At least one power source, can supply the wires with voltages which are intermittent, alternating and sinusoidal, said voltages being between 2,000 V to 100,000 V and having frequencies between 30 KHz and 1 MHz. The voltage in the second wire is opposite and balanced to the voltage in the first wire. When the dipole antenna is placed parallel and in close proximity to a hydrocarbon supply, an electromagnetic field acts on the hydrocarbon to enhance combustion of the hydrocarbon. An apparatus including the device and a method of using the device to optimize hydrocarbon combustion are also provided.

摘要: In an embodiment, a combustion system includes a burner, at least one charging electrode, flame anchoring electrode(s), and at least one voltage power supply. The burner is configured to discharge fuel into a combustion volume in which the fuel and an oxidizer are ignited to generate a flame. The charging electrode is positioned proximate to the flame. The charging electrode provides charges to the flame to generate a charged flame. The flame anchoring electrode(s) are disposed adjacent to the burner and proximate to a base portion of the charged flame. The voltage power supply is electrically coupled to each of the flame anchoring electrode(s) and the charging electrode. The at least one voltage power supply applies one or more electrical potentials to each of the flame anchoring electrode(s) so that the charged flame is anchored at a predetermined location.

摘要: A photo-ignition torch is provided including a light source configured to generate at least one of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light. A photo-ignitable sub-micron particle mix is contained in capsule configured to receive the at least one of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light generated by the light source or alternatively the photo-ignitable sub-micron particle mix is in direct contact with the light source. The exposure of the photo-ignitable sub-micron particle mix to the at least one of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light initiates a photo-ignition process causing a release of burning byproducts of the photo-ignition process.

摘要: The present invention materially enhances the quality of the environment and mankind by contributing to the restoration or maintenance of the basic life-sustaining natural elements. The present invention reduces the amount of carbon monoxide introduced to the atmosphere of a combustion system. This is achieved by furnishing a systems approach to optimize the amount of oxygen to be chemically combined with fuel upon ignition of both allowing the correct amount of carbon to combine with the correct amount of oxygen thus fully release the thermal energy stored therein. By so furnishing the level of oxygen with carbon of the fuel, more carbon dioxide is produced thus proportionally reduces the amount of carbon monoxide released to the atmosphere. The present invention provides a heating system that surpasses the net and gross efficiency performance of a natural gas burner.
