    摘要： A rectal thermal monitor for transrectal prostate temperature measurement includes a handle arranged in a proximal end portion of the monitor for gripping by a user, an elongate shaft extending from the handle, and an expandable distal probe portion arranged on a distal end of the shaft. The distal probe portion is arranged at a position opposite the handle portion, and is shaped to facilitate insertion through an anal sphincter and into a rectum of a patient. A cover element, is provided for covering at least a portion of the distal probe portion, and is made from a resilient material. A temperature sensing element is arranged within the distal probe portion, beneath the cover element, and is adapted and configured to sense a temperature of the prostate of the patient through the rectum wall of the patient. Further, and actuator can be provided to actuate the expandable distal probe portion, to increase a diameter thereof.

    摘要： A rectal thermal monitor for transrectal prostate temperature measurement includes a handle arranged in a proximal end portion of the monitor for gripping by a user, an elongate shaft extending from the handle, and an expandable distal probe portion arranged on a distal end of the shaft. The appliance includes a cap having an upper side with a protrusion extending upwardly from the upper side defining a spout which terminates in a fluid outlet and a lower side having a retainer sleeve extending downwardly from the spout and adapted to retain a valve housing. Also included is a valve housing including a valve holder having an upwardly extending hollow cylindrical projection adapted to fit in the retainer sleeve of the cap and terminating in a valve head seat for maintaining the valve in operational position when the appliance is used, a bidirectional valve having a head section with a centrally disposed port and a downwardly extending valve element that terminates in a bottom slit defining a valve orifice that opens and closes to selectively allow fluid to flow out of the spout or to allow air and excess fluid to flow back into the cup, and a valve retainer that attaches to the valve holder and is formed with a centrally disposed bore into which the downwardly extending valve element is removably seated.

    摘要： A roof-top cargo basket and integrated bicycle carrier system includes a basket configured to hold cargo that is mountable to cross-bars of a vehicle's roof rack system. Load carrier bars are mounted at a top of the basket and extend laterally outboard of the basket for positioning carried bicycles outside of an interior space of said basket. In addition, handles are formed on support members for the load carrier bars to accommodate inspection, loading and unloading of the basket's interior space. For retaining objects within the interior space of the basket, a squeeze bar is disposed at or near an end portion of the basket. The load carrier bars are configured to receive a rooftop bicycle carrier for attachment thereto at locations laterally outside the interior space of the basket.
