Abstract: The portable light system may comprise a base, a boom, an extender, a first tool holder, a second tool holder, a third tool holder, a floodlight, and a flashlight. The portable light system may be a system of armatures that is self-standing and operable to direct light towards one or more objects. The base may comprise a quadripod stand with a telescoping vertical support. The extender and the boom may extend and redirect the system of armatures. A plurality of tool holders comprising the first tool holder, the second tool holder, and the third tool may be individually coupled to the system of armatures to hold a tool. The floodlight and the flashlight may be operable to provide illumination.

Abstract: A charger for an electrical device (e.g., a site light) includes a housing defining an interior cavity, and one or more openings formed in the housing. A heat sink is disposed in the interior cavity of the housing and is operable to dissipate heat produced in the housing. The heat sink is positioned in a facing relationship with the one or more openings such that the heat sink is at least partially exposed to the exterior. The heat sink is in heat transfer relationship with component of charger electronics of the charger.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an illuminated walking cane having a cane pole component, a ground-engaging tip at a first end and a handle at an opposing second end, a light mounted on the cane pole component. The handle has a supporting seat with a recessed cavity, a battery assembly with a conductive terminal accommodated in the recessed cavity and an upper cover covering the battery assembly so that the upper shell and the battery assembly form an integral piece which may be grasped by hand and may be detached from the supporting seat. The battery assembly has a bottom shell, a battery unit and a charging port provided on the bottom of the battery assembly. The edge of the bottom shell is supported and connected by the edge of the supporting seat to form a space for receiving the charging port.

Abstract: In one aspect, a light module is disclosed, which includes a housing providing a hollow chamber extending from a proximal end to a distal end, and a lens positioned in the hollow chamber, where the lens has a lens body comprising an input surface for receiving light from a light source and an output surface through which light exits the lens body, said lens further comprising a collar at least partially encircling said lens body. The light module further includes at least one shoulder on which the lens collar can be seated for positioning the lens within the housing. A light source, e.g., an LED, is coupled to the hollow chamber, e.g., at its proximal end, for providing light to the lens. In some embodiments, an optical window is disposed in the hollow chamber and is optically coupled to the output surface of the lens such that the light exiting the lens passes through the optical window before exiting the light module. In some embodiments, the shoulder can be formed as part of the housing. In other embodiments, the shoulder can be provided by a sleeve disposed in the module's housing.

Abstract: A fish stick includes a light emitting component, such as a lighted tip, near the leading end of the fish stick. The lighted tip includes a curved lens that directs some light around an attachment piece at the end of the fish stick and generally in the forward direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fish stick. The fish stick may be made of a phosphorescent material and stored in a lit container with an LED and reflective surfaces. The fish stick may be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other and include a spring biasing element that increases the coefficient of friction between the threads of the rods. The fish stick may also be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other via collars.

Abstract: A lighting apparatus for use as a surgical headlamp is disclosed. A light emitting diode is positioned in a recess within a frustoconical, thermally-conductive heat sink that has a several circumferential ridges to provide a desired surface area for heat transfer. The diode and the heat sink are provided in a housing that also includes a fan for drawing ambient air into the housing to contact the heat sink and exhausting heated air. A lens is snap-fit into a slide that frictionally engages the interior of the housing, allowing a user to adjust the spacing between the light emitting diode and the lens as desired. Personal cooling apparatuses usable with the lighting apparatus are also described. Auxiliary undergown switches are also described as are personal cooling apparatuses.

Abstract: A light comprises: a light body and a light source supported by the light body; and a tail cap assembly including one or more actuators configured for actuating one or more electrical switch contacts internal to the light body for energizing the light source. The tail cap assembly may include a housing shell defining one or more cantilevered supports extending from the housing shell with the one or more actuators at respective ends thereof. The tail cap assembly may further include a resilient material for sealing the housing shell while leaving the actuators flexibly cantilevered. Alternatively and/or additionally, the light may include a mode selecting face cap that is rotatable on the light body for selecting operating modes, including OFF, and or a laser light source having two adjusting screws at an acute angle to each other.
