    摘要： The invention is directed to a network-enabled appliance. The appliance may aid the remote monitoring of various measured data. The device may monitor a variable or set of variables and output the data upon request. In addition, the appliance may issue alarms, alerts, warning and other notifications when a variable matches a setpoint or undergoes a specified change, deviation, and/or fluctuation. Further the appliance may be operable to communicate with other appliances. The communication may comprise periodic pinging of peer appliances. In this manner, a peer appliance may detect a failure in other network-enabled appliances when an anticipated ping is not received. Further, the communication may enable the establishment of a directory of capabilities of various appliances. In this manner, a group of appliances may perform more complex behaviors by grouping resources. Further, a group of appliances may act to reestablish the behavior of a failed device.

    摘要： The present invention discloses an ergonomic manual clutch actuator assembly, and a method for providing the manual clutch actuator assembly, for a straddle-type vehicle or the like. The assembly includes a manual clutch lever pivotally mounted to a handlebar for drawing a clutch cable connected to a clutch actuator mechanism. The clutch actuator mechanism is provided within the housing of the vehicle for cooperating with a distal end of a clutch shaft for disengaging a clutch when the cable is drawn. The clutch actuator assembly requires a first predefined force to pivot the clutch lever away from a normal extended position. A second predefined force, being greater than the first force, is required to further pivot the clutch lever to an intermediate position. Also, a third predefined force is required to maintain the clutch lever in a retracted position, the third force is less than the second force.

In some instances, a deferred premium annuity allows a purchaser (e.g., an individual) to pledge assets rather than pay cash up front to purchase an annuity. In these instances, an annuity provider then issues an annuity to the purchaser. In some instances, the provider then may then receive ownership of or an interest in the pledged assets upon death of the purchaser unless the purchaser pays for the annuity before the death of the purchaser.

The ink jet chip has a mounting surface, a face surface, an ink channel extending to the face surface, and at least one actuator associated with the ink channel. The actuator includes a plurality of electrical contact pads formed on the face surface. A plurality of passageways extends through the ink jet chip from the mounting surface to the face surface. The ink jetting assembly also includes a plurality of electrodes. Each of the plurality of electrodes passes through a respective passageway of the plurality of passageways and is electrically connected to a respective contact pad of the plurality of electrical contact pads at the face surface.

    摘要： A method of assembling a print head that includes the steps of: (a) providing a print head base including a nozzle and at least one ink channel; (b) mounting in fluid communication with the at least one ink channel of the print head base an ink regulator that includes: (i) a pressurized chamber including an ink inlet in fluid communication with an ink source, an ink outlet in fluid communication with the at least one ink channel of the print head base, and an exterior flexible wall having an inner surface facing an interior of the pressurized chamber, (ii) a valve biased to restrict fluid communication between the ink source and the pressurized chamber, where the exterior flexible wall actuates the valve to overcome the bias in response to a predetermined pressure differential across the exterior flexible wall to provide fluid communication between the ink source and the pressurized chamber, where the fluid communication between the pressurized chamber and the ink source decreases the pressure differential across the exterior flexible wall and, where the valve restricts fluid communication between the ink source and the pressurized chamber when the pressure differential across the exterior flexible wall is less than the predetermined pressure differential; and, (c) positioning an ink filter in fluid communication with the ink regulator and the at least one ink channel of the print head base.
