Abstract: Label assemblies and methods of manufacturing label assemblies are described. In an aspect, a thermal sheet includes a post-consumer waste (PCW) paper layer and a thermal coating applied at a side of the post-consumer waste paper layer. The post-consumer waste paper layer may have a fiber density that allows the thermal coating to sit on the side of the post-consumer waste paper layer while reducing absorption of the thermal coating within the post-consumer waste paper layer.
