摘要： A display apparatus, a remote controller and a method for controlling applied thereto are provided. The display apparatus receives direction information regarding an orientation of the remote controller from the remote controller, and selects an area to be controlled by the remote controller from among a first area and a second area of a screen according to the direction information received from the remote controller. As a result, user is enabled to control different areas on the screen by appropriately moving the remote controller between different orientations.

摘要： A method for providing a playlist, a remote controller applying the same, and a multimedia system are provided. The method for providing a playlist includes displaying a plurality of content lists of a plurality of kinds of contents in which contents of a same kind are arranged together, the plurality of content lists being displayed on a first area of a screen, if at least two different kinds of contents are selected from the plurality of content lists in a selecting, collecting the selected contents of the at least two different kinds of contents, and generating and displaying a playlist including play information regarding the collected contents of the at least two different kinds of contents.

摘要： A channel zapping method is provided. The channel zapping method includes setting a channel group selected from among a plurality of channel groups classified by genre as a target for group zapping, and if a channel zapping command is input, performing channel zapping to a next channel in the channel group to which a current channel belongs, and if a group zapping command is input, performing channel zapping to a channel in another channel group included in the target for group zapping, and the another channel group is a channel group in a highest class or in a sub class which belongs to the highest class in the each genre.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a display unit; a signal processing unit which processes an image signal to be displayed on the display unit; a color transforming unit which adjusts a white balance of the image signal input from the signal processing unit within a color area defined by a set of adjacent colors in a color space; and a controlling unit which controls the color transforming unit to perform color-transformation on only a white color within the color area of colors of the image signal in order to adjust the white balance of the image signal.
