摘要:
A technique for correcting an electron trajectory and preventing positional deviation of a light emitting point in an image display apparatus is disclosed. The image display apparatus includes a rear plate which is provided with an electron source having electron-emitting devices, a plurality of wiring electrodes for supplying a drive signal to the electron-emitting devices, a face plate disposed to be opposed to the rear plate and a spacer which is arranged between the face plate and the rear plate and is provided with a spacer electrode on a contact surface which is in contact with the rear plate. And, this image display apparatus is unique in that a distance L1 between a first wiring electrode and a center of a first electron-emitting region and a distance L2 between a second wiring electrode and a center of a second electron-emitting region satisfy a relationship L1>L2.

Each of spacers which defines an interval between substrates composing an envelope is fixed to the substrates while their linearity is kept by the tension exerted therein. In the fixation, it is set such that a fixing point of each of the spacers is located between points on which the tension is exerted. Thus, even when the tension is released, the linearity is maintained, so that a displacement of each of the spacers can be prevented to kept a high assembly accuracy.
摘要:
In order to prevent a spacer from being charged by using a plate shaped spacer covered with a high resistance film, the present invention is aimed at preventing irregular displacements of electron beams emitted from adjacent electron-emitting devices and suppressing displacements of impinging positions of the electron beams emitted from the adjacent electron-emitting devices even with a slight displacement of an installation position of the spacer. The spacer is disposed along a row directional wiring. The high resistance film is allowed to come into contact with a metal back and the row directional wiring to achieve electrical connection therebetween. Contact portions between the high resistance film of the spacer and the row directional wiring are provided at predetermined intervals.
