摘要: A display apparatus, comprising: a memory that stores correspondence to convert an image quality of an image signal; and at least one processor that operates as: an input unit that inputs a first image signal having a first image quality; a generation unit; and a display unit that displays the first image signal and the image signal generated by the generation unit, wherein in the case of the memory storing correspondence to generate a second image signal having a second image quality from the first image signal, the generation unit generates the second image signal from the first image signal in accordance with the correspondence, and in the case of the memory not storing the correspondence to generate the second image signal from the first image signal, the generation unit generates a third image signal by performing a predetermined luminance conversion on the first image signal.

摘要: A display apparatus includes a display unit configured to display images, an image obtaining unit configured to obtain an image to be displayed in the display unit, a reception unit configured to receive a luminance setting associated with a luminance of a light source included in the display unit, and a controller configured to display a display image obtained by replacing at least a region of the image to be displayed with a colored image in the display unit. The controller sets a first luminance as a luminance of the colored image in a case where a first luminance setting value is set as the luminance setting, and sets a second luminance that is lower than the first luminance as the luminance of the colored image in a case where a second luminance setting value that is higher than the first luminance setting value is set as the luminance setting.

The processing unit is configured to perform first image processing and second image processing. The display control unit is configured to perform control to perform a first display based on a result of the first image processing and a second display based on a result of the second image processing, together. The setting unit is configured to set upper-limit brightness of the second display. An Electro-Optical Transfer Function (EOTF) type of the first display and an EOTF type of the second display are EOTF types dealing with high dynamic range (HDR). The processing unit converts brightness of an image according to the upper-limit brightness and the EOTF type of the first display in the second image processing.
