摘要: Methods, systems and devices provide mechanisms and systems for efficiently delivering files over a broadcast system to mobile devices. Files for broadcast may be logically identified as belonging to a directory in a file system. A Broadcast Schedule Message may inform receiver devices of files that will be broadcast at a specified time, as well as describe the files. File may be transmitted in file delivery pipes, which may be of different bandwidth and data rates. Receiver devices configured according to the embodiments may make use of the broadcast schedule message to select files to be received based on the service or application with which the file is associated, and whether the file is new or an update to a previously received file. Receiver devices activate receiver circuitry to capture the files within their advertised broadcast window, and pass the received files to applications or services requesting the files.

摘要: A multipath transport protocol such as multipath TCP can utilize metrics such as a wireless link condition corresponding to one or more paths as a parameter for controlling a dynamic allocation of data and control signaling over respective paths. Fault-tolerant control can enable retransmissions of packets already sent on a poor path, onto a good path. Further, the feedback, the retransmissions, and other control signaling can be provided on a separate subflow or on a UDP overlay. In this way, a multipath TCP connection can be more reliable and efficient as flow control and data flow are enhanced.

摘要: Methods and devices enable users of still or video image content to indicate objects within images in order to obtain more information regarding products of interest. Selected portions of an image or coordinates within the image may be included in a product query message transmitted to a server. The server receiving image information may process the information to recognize objects or particular products within the image selection. Recognized objects or products may be compared to a database of available merchandise to determine availability. Information regarding commercially available products may be included in a product information message transmitted to the user's computing device. Users may initiate a purchase transaction for recommended products based on the product information. The image may be broadcast by a variety of content delivery services including a mobile broadcast TV network.
