Abstract:
A printing device includes a printer including a printing head to print a printing subject on a printing medium; a transporter including a roller to, while pressing the printing medium against the printing head, transport the printing medium in a feeding direction and a retracting direction; and a presser to, when the printing medium is transported in a feeding direction, cause the roller to press the printing medium against the printing head with first pressure and, when the printing medium is transported in a retracting direction, cause the roller to press the printing medium against the printing head with second pressure different from the first pressure.
Abstract:
The printing device comprises: a print head for printing on a tape; a platen roller for conveying the tape by rotation with the tape held between the print head and the platen roller; a supporter for rotatably supporting the platen roller; and a cam including a first guide for releasing pressing of the platen roller against the print head and a second guide for pressing the platen roller against the print head.
Abstract:
A penetrating hole is positioned facing a concave area between a separation guide and a separation guide of a sheet supporting the separation guides. When the front edge of a printing medium has passed through and emerged from a fixing clasp, water vapor generated from the printing medium by heating from a heating belt catches airflow flowing along a circulation movement surface of the heating belt and is sucked into a spatial region where a frame of the fixing device body is positioned from the penetrating hole.
Abstract:
In an image forming apparatus provided with a detachable fixing unit having fixing paired-rollers, a heating unit heats at least one of the fixing paired-rollers, and a temperature detecting unit detects a temperature of the detachable fixing unit. The image forming apparatus is further provided with an adjustment mechanism for preventing the detachable fixing unit from being taken out from the apparatus body, when the temperature detecting unit determines that the temperature of the detachable fixing unit exceeds a predetermined value, and allowing the detachable fixing unit to be taken out from the apparatus body, when the temperature detecting unit determines that the temperature of the detachable fixing unit is the predetermined value or less, whereby protecting users from getting their hands burned when taking out the detachable fixing unit from the apparatus body.
