摘要： An electric make-up mirror having light sources which provide substantially uniform energy output through most of the visible region, which when used in conjunction with light filters will simulate specific lighting conditions such as daylight, office light (fluorescent), home light and evening light (incandescent). The light sources are comprised of special lamps which provide a unique degree of flexibility in that various lighting conditions may be simulated with a minimal loss of energy. The mirror is provided with two matching light sources, and two matching filter assemblies disposed on opposite sides of the mirror. The filter assemblies are adjusted by a single control mounted for the synchronous selection of a matching filter from each of the filter assemblies. The light filters of each filter assembly, when interposed between the light sources and the user, selectively vary the spectral energy distribution of the light transmitted from the light sources so as to simulate daylight, ordinary fluorescent light and incandescent light. The mirror allows the user to select the illumination approximating the type of light under which the user expects to be seen.

摘要： A steam curling iron having a tubular body with apertures therein, a heating element disposed in a heating chamber in the tubular body, and a fluid dispensing device mounted at one end of the tubular body including a reservoir for storing a fluid and a metering mechanism for supplying a metered quantity of the fluid from the reservoir to the heating chamber such that the heating element evaporates a predetermined amount of fluid for application through the apertures to hair wound around the tubular body. The tubular body has axial depressions in the outer surface thereof with the apertures positioned in the axial depressions to emit steam tangentially of the tubular body, and a clip extends along the tubular body for holding the ends of a tress of hair wound around the tubular body, the clip being mounted in a housing at an end of the tubular body opposite the fluid dispensing device to be pivotally biased against the tubular body and to be movable away from the tubular body in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tubular body to permit hair wound around the tubular body to be axially removed therefrom.

摘要： A hairsetter is provided of the type employing heated hair rollers. The hair rollers are heated simultaneously interiorly and exteriorly. The interior heating is accomplished by means of heated mounting posts on which the rollers are supported in the assembly. The exterior heating is accomplished by the passage over the surface of the rollers of a vapor of a heated hair treatment liquid. The vapor both heats the rollers and deposits condensed liquid on the roller surfaces to provide a wet-set. The hairsetter can also be used without employing a liquid but in such case heating of the rollers would be accomplished only by the mounting posts.

摘要： The subject invention relates to a comb having a handle in which is situated a reservoir for water or other liquid and having means for spraying the fluid from the reservoir directly on the hair while combing. Also provided is a hot air generating system which allows hot air to be blown on the hair while the comb is being used. The heater of the hot air generating system may be used to heat the fluid which is sprayed directly on the hair.
