摘要： A method for controlling a smart device includes: judging whether a control terminal and a selected smart home device are located in a same local area network; establishing a connection to a smart home device management platform over the local area network if the control terminal and the selected smart home device are located in the same local area network, the smart home device management platform recording one or a plurality of smart home devices; enabling a virtual private network (VPN) module and establishing a connection to the smart home device management platform over a VPN channel if the control terminal and the selected smart home device are not located in the same local area network; and controlling a corresponding smart home device by the smart home device management platform.
