    Abstract: Described herein are aqueous abrasive oral care compositions comprising (a) 1-10 wt.% hydrogen peroxide, (b) 5-20 wt.% of calcium pyrophosphate abrasive, (c) 35-75 wt.% propylene glycol, (d) 5-20 wt.% polyvinylpyrrolidone, (e) 1-20 wt.% of a random polyethylene glycol/polypropylene glycol random copolymer. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described herein.

    Abstract: Oral care compositions; and specifically, oral care compositions providing enhanced stain resistance are disclosed herein. In accordance with an aspect of the invention, provided is an oral care composition including a thickening system comprising a cross-linked polyacrylic acid and/or a salt thereof, and one or more thickening agent selected from a polysaccharide, a thickening silica, and a combination of two or more thereof; a polyol; and from about 5 to about 64 wt. % of water, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the oral care composition.

    Abstract: Film forming compositions and methods for preventing stains and increasing shine and gloss of teeth. The film forming compositions may include a polymer, such as a hydrophobic polymer, and an orally acceptable solvent. The hydrophobic polymer may include an acrylate component and a hydrophobic group coupled with one another. The hydrophobic group may include an alkyl chain, a polyethylene glycol, a polypropylene, a polyester, a polyorthoester, a phospholipid, a long chain fatty acid, a vinyl chloride, fluorethylene, a siloxane, a urethane, an octylacrylamide, a butylaminoethyl, a styrene, and combinations thereof.
