Abstract: A mechanism for transferring a trolley between a transfer conveyor rail, which is carried for vertical movement by an elevator car, and stationary overhead conveyor rails arranged at the floor levels to be served by the elevator car. The transfer rail, together with a powered device operable to transfer the trolley between the rails, is supported on a platform, which is in turn loosely suspended as a unit from the elevator car. Cam leveler devices are carried on the platform for the purpose of automatically adjusting the unit relative to the elevator car, when the latter is stationary adjacent a floor level to be served, in order to accurately align the transfer rail with the stationary rails at such floor level.
