    Abstract: The present invention relates to a communication patch panel and a communication rack system having the communication patch panel. The communication patch panel includes a panel body (2) having two ends as well as a front side (21) and a rear side. The communication patch panel includes two fittings (3), each of which is configured to be mounted on a communication rack (20) and to be detachably connected to one of the ends of the panel body, wherein each of the fittings provides a plurality of transverse positions for the detachable connection. A plurality of different positionings of the panel body may be flexibly realized in the communication patch panel.

The panel can include a mounting frame extending between a first end and a second end, the mounting frame defining a plurality of apertures for receiving telecommunications components, a first mounting ear forming a snap-fit connection with the mounting frame first end, in a first orientation, and a second mounting ear, identical to the first mounting ear, forming a snap-fit connection with the mounting frame second end, in a second orientation.
