    摘要： An articulated handle for a floor-treating apparatus in which a lower forked portion of the handle is pivotally hinged onto a base member. A yoke joins the ends of the lower forked portion remote from the base member and is provided with a channel in which is received a moveable latching bar and a depressable latch button which moves the bar against a spring. The handle also includes an upper forked portion having a handle at one end. The other end of the upper portion terminates in a pair of identical ears formed at the ends of the tines of the upper fork and each of these ears is received in the yoke in operative relation with the bar. Each ear has an inclined surface which engages the bar locking the lower and upper forked portions in extended relation and when the bar is depressed the upper and lower portions of the handle fold into a collapsed position or juxtaposed relation.

    摘要： A vacuum cleaner hose having electric conductors and end fittings provided with electric terminals in which the fittings are removably connected with the hose by means of an uncured rubber ring clamped radially onto the hose by a pair of sleeves associated with the respective hose end fittings. One hose fitting is adapted for use as a handgrip and is provided with an electric terminal which automatically connects the hose conductors with the conductors of a telescoping wand. The wand is provided with a sliding contact so that in any of its retracted and elongated positions current is conducted to the motorized brush tool removably attached to one end of the wand.

    摘要： In accordance with the present invention there is provided a floor polisher or the like having a manipulating and carrying handle comprising a lower fork pivotally connected to the polisher base and an upper fork pivotally connected to the lower fork, there being releasable locking means for securing the forks in extended fixed position relative to each other. A shampoo tank is removably carried by the lower fork and is provided with a discharge valve having a valve stem extending from the upper end of the tank adjacent to the pivotal joint between the forks. Valve actuating mechanism is carried by the upper fork and is so arranged that when the forks are in extended locked position, the mechanism is in cooperative position with the valve stem for actuating the latter to open the valve. Conduit means extends from the discharge valve to the polisher base which includes a plurality of rotary brushes, at least one of which has an annular recess in which the conduit discharges. Each brush has a ring of sponge material, the rings of the different brushes being in compressive contact with each other. A channel is provided between the annular recess and the sponge on that brush.
