Abstract: A battery cell may comprise a housing, an electrode assembly, an end cover and an isolator. The housing may be provided with an opening at an end along a first direction. The housing may comprise a first side plate with a first plate body and a second plate body arranged along a second direction, the first plate body and the second plate body may be welded to form a welding part extending to the opening, and the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction. The electrode assembly may be accommodated in the housing. The end cover may be used for covering the opening. The isolator may be arranged between the first side plate and the electrode assembly, and attached to the first side plate and cover at least part of the welding part to isolate the electrode assembly from the welding part.

Abstract: An electrode assembly may include positive and negative electrode sheets, the positive and negative electrode sheets including positive and negative electrode current collectors and positive and negative electrode active material layers.
