    Abstract: The present application discloses a secondary battery comprising a negative electrode plate, an apparatus including the secondary battery, an artificial graphite and a preparation method thereof, the negative electrode plate comprising a negative active material, wherein the negative active material comprises an artificial graphite having a volume average particle size Dv50 of 12 μm to 22 μm, and satisfying: 12≤Dv50×SSA≤25, in which SSA is the specific surface area of artificial graphite, in m2/g; the negative electrode plate has a compaction density of 1.6 g/cm3 to 1.75 g/cm3 and an OI value of at most 15, wherein the OI value represents a ratio C004/C110, in which C004 is the peak area of the diffraction peak of 004 crystal plane of artificial graphite in the negative electrode plate and C110 is the peak area of the diffraction peak of 110 crystal plane of artificial graphite in the negative electrode plate.

    Abstract: This application provides a negative electrode plate, a secondary battery, a battery module, a battery pack, and an apparatus. The negative electrode plate includes a negative current collector and a plurality of active substance layers on the negative current collector. The plurality of active substance layers include at least a first active substance layer and a second active substance layer. The first active substance layer includes a first negative active substance, and the second active substance layer includes a second negative active substance. A ratio of gram capacity of the negative active substance of the first active substance layer to thickness of the first active substance layer is 3.5-10.0. A ratio of gram capacity of the negative active substance of the second active substance layer to thickness of the second active substance layer is 6.5-23.0.
