Abstract: An insulator, used for a battery cell, includes: an insulator body, having a first surface and a second surface oppositely disposed in its thickness direction, the first surface facing an electrode assembly of the battery cell, and the second surface facing away from the electrode assembly; and a protrusion, formed on the first surface and used for abutting against the electrode assembly; wherein the protrusion is provided with an air vent, and the air vent runs through the protrusion in a direction intersecting with the thickness direction.
