Abstract: Methods of treating cancer in a subject by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a porous biocompatible sorbent are disclosed. The porous biocompatible sorbents comprise a range of pore diameters between about 50 Å to about 40,000 Å and a pore volume between about 0.5 cc/g to about 5.0 cc/g dry polymer.
