    摘要: A thermostat control system having remote devices and/or other internally powered devices provides transmissions at different power levels and at different data transfer rates to conserve power life. Thermostat control system components and devices may be powered by replaceable power supplies that are conserved by transmitting at a lower power level more often than at a higher power level. A higher power level transmission is provided at a lower data transfer rate, and a lower power level transmission is provided at a higher data transfer rate. A higher power transmission is provided periodically to ensure reliable communication of temperature information.

    摘要: A thermostat is provided comprising a first connector for connecting to an air conditioner, a second connector for connecting to either a conventional heater or a heat pump reversing valve, and a selection means for selecting from at least a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. The first mode of operation is configured to establish cooling by providing an on signal to the first connector and to establish heating by providing an on signal to the second connector. The second mode of operation is configured to establish cooling by providing an on signal to the first and second connectors, and heating by providing an on signal to the first connector but not the second connector. When the second mode is selected and the second connector is connected to conventional heating, the thermostat detects when both the conventional heating and air conditioning are operating simultaneously during cooling.

    摘要: The inventive thermostat provides for sensing the temperature and humidity within the space, and responsively controlling the operation of an air conditioning compressor and blower to maintain the desired temperature and humidity. In a first mode, the thermostat operates the compressor at maximum capacity and the blower at less than maximum capacity to provide dehumidification when the humidity level is above a set point. In a second mode, the thermostat operates the compressor and blower at maximum capacity to provide full cooling capacity when the sensed temperature is more than a predetermined amount above the desired temperature setting. The thermostat is also configured to automatically switch from the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation.

    摘要: A sealing device is disclosed that discreetly seals openings in a building's siding. The sealing device comprises an elongated insulating component, configured to mate with a profile of an assembled sided wall, and secured within the voids of at least one trim channel component. The elongated insulating component is custom-shaped and cut to the exact size needed, depending on the shape and size of the assembled siding it is to be used with. The trim channel components cover a terminating edge of the assembled sided wall, and the elongated insulating component substantially fills the voids of the trim channel components along an entire longitudinal length of the assembled sided wall to help lock the siding in place, and to keep out moisture, wind, and insects, etc. The elongated insulating components can be secured within the trim channel components before or after installation of siding on the sided wall.
