    摘要: A luminaire includes a base, a frame supporting a lamp, an optical assembly and an arm connecting the base and the frame. The arm has opposite first and second terminal ends rotatably coupled to the base and the frame, respectively, first and second opposite sides extending between the first and second terminal ends, and first and second actuating members unitary with the arm. The first actuating member extends from the first side at the first terminal end and the second actuating member extends from the second side at second terminal end. The first actuating member rotates the arm with respect to the base about a first axis and the second actuating member rotates the frame with respect to the arm about a second axis, perpendicular to the first axis.

    摘要: A laser reference device includes at least one planar or flat surface and an internal laser light source for generating a laser light beam. A lens inside the device may convert the laser light into a fan-shaped beam, and project the beam adjacent the planar or flat surface of the housing. The fan-shaped beam thus projects along that surface of the housing. If the laser leveling device is placed with the flat surface on a table or floor, for example, the fan-shaped beam will be in a level plane. This allows a user to place the laser leveling device on a surface and generate a laser light to align surfaces or objects, such as objects on a wall.

    摘要: A combined stud finder and tape measure device includes a housing having any traditional stud finder circuitry integrally disposed therein along with a tape measure having a tape strip wound on a spindle. The tape measure is oriented so that the width of the tape strip lies parallel to the surface being scanned for studs or other obstacles. This orientation accommodates a wide viewing angle of the scale markings on the tape strip, making it easier to use the stud finder and the tape measure at the same time. Additionally, the tape measure can be re-oriented over at least 180 degrees so that the tape strip can be directed to either side of or from the bottom of the combined stud finder and tape measure device. Detents may be located at, for example, 90 degree intervals to provide a manner of locking the tape measure at predetermined angles with respect to the housing.

    摘要: Apparatus for use in dispensing fluid into individual containers is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a dispensing head and a transport mechanism comprising an endless conveyor, the dispensing head being attached to the conveyor, which conveyor provides means for moving the dispensing head in a predetermined path above an array of sample containers. A drive arrangement is provided for the transport mechanism, there being a detector incorporated in the drive arrangement for indicating when the drive arrangement has driven the transport mechanism so that the conveyor has moved the dispensing head a predetermined distance along the predetermined path. Furthermore, there is electronic control circuitry for controlling the time during which the head dispenses into an individual container, the circuitry initiating the drive arrangement, to drive the transport mechanism, after repeated time intervals, and being coupled with the detector to stop the drive arrangement in response to an indication from the detector that the drive arrangement has driven the transport mechanism so that the conveyor has moved the dispensing head the said predetermined distance.
