    Abstract: A dust cover for a hammer work tool, a hammer work tool, and a method of attaching the same are disclosed. The hammer work tool includes a housing, a power cell enclosed inside the housing, a tool member, and a detachable dust cover. When attached, the dust cover prevents particulate matter from entering the housing. When detached, a housing opening uncovered by the dust cover provides access to the power cell for maintenance and repairs. During installation, a housing rim and a locking tab of the hammer work tool are respectively received by a groove and a locking tab receiver of the dust cover. Advantageously, the dust cover is durable, cost effective, and easily attached and detached without the use of additional tools.

    Abstract: A hydraulic hammer for impact fracturing a work object includes a hammer shell having a cylinder body disposed between a front head and a rear head. A piston reciprocally movable within the cylinder body abut a work tool and can extend and retract the work tool from the hammer shell. To dampen momentum and impact forces, an accumulator head is attached to the back head and can accommodate hydraulic and dampening fluids in separate first and second sub-chambers. The dampening sub-chamber may directly fluidly communicate with an internal dampening fluid reservoir in the back head.

    Abstract: A lubrication system for a hydraulically operated tool has a common lubricant supply manifold that receives a lubricant from one or more lubricant reservoirs. The common lubricant supply manifold includes an inlet port through which the lubricant is received and an exit port fluidly coupled with a lubricant supply line. The system also has a primer pump connected in fluid communication with the common lubricant supply manifold, a main lubricant supply pump, and a spring check valve downstream of the main lubricant supply pump. The lubricant supply line receives lubricant from the exit port and supplies the lubricant to the main lubricant supply pump. The main lubricant supply pump increases the pressure of the lubricant and pumps the lubricant through the spring check valve and into a fluid passageway leading to the hydraulically operated tool. A detune valve is in fluid communication with a hydraulic pump providing pressurized hydraulic fluid for the tool and the main lubricant supply pump, and the detune valve is actuated by pressure in the lubricant supply line.

    Abstract: A clearance control system for a hydraulic hammer is disclosed. The hydraulic hammer includes a housing member, a power cell disposed within the housing member, a wear member disposed between the housing member and the power cell, and a clearance control system for controlling the predefined clearance between the wear member and the power cell. The clearance control system includes a mounting boss and a fastening member disposed on the mounting boss. A first end of the fastening member is configured to receive an input from an operator and the second end is configured to contact with the first surface of the wear member. The fastening member is configured to move along a central axis defined by a threaded hole of the mounting boss to move the wear member towards the power cell, to control the predefined clearance between the wear member and the power cell.
