Abstract: A down-the-hole hammer includes a barrel having a longitudinal axis and defining a middle chamber and a bottom chamber, a piston defining a top chamber and slidable within the barrel between the middle chamber and the bottom chamber, a control tube having a distal port, and an air distributor having a first distal port and a second distal port. The control tube is indexable between a plurality of rotational positions to adjust which of the first distal port and the second distal port of the air distributor is aligned with the distal port of the control tube.

Abstract: A lubrication system for a hydraulic hammer includes a body defining a recess in fluid communication with a lubricant inlet and a lubricant outlet. A sleeve, located co-axially within the recess, defines a stepped tubular cavity having first and second portions. The sleeve also defines inlet and outlet ports extending from an outer surface to an inner surface of the sleeve. A piston, located partly within the recess and the first portion of the stepped tubular cavity respectively, has a tubular cavity co-axial with the stepped tubular cavity. A spool is located partly within the tubular cavity and the second portion of the stepped tubular cavity respectively. The spool co-operates with the inlet and outlet ports of the sleeve for reciprocally moving the piston in relation to the body so that lubricant from the lubricant inlet is delivered by the piston to the lubricant outlet via the recess.

Abstract: A control system for a hydraulic hammer is provided. The control system includes a sensing unit configured to sense position and rebound acceleration of a piston of the hydraulic hammer. The control system further includes an electronic control module (ECM) in communication with the sensing unit, and configured to generate signals based on the sensed position and rebound acceleration of the piston. The control system further includes a selection unit configured to allow an operator to select between a manual mode and an automatic mode. The control system further includes a valve in communication with the electronic control module (ECM). The valve being configured to be operated between a closed position and an open position based on the signals generated by the electronic control module (ECM) to selectively move the piston.
