摘要: A system for providing crosswind component information to a pilot of an aircraft is disclosed. The system is comprised of a navigation system; datalink system; devices for manual input of data; a crosswind component module consisting of, in part, a processor and database; and an indicating system consisting of, in part, a tactical display unit system of an aircraft. A navigation system may provide flight parameters for measured and intended flight data as inputs. Other data may also be provided from manual input devices and a datalink system as inputs. The processor of the crosswind component module receives the data, retrieves runway direction data, and determines the data of the crosswind components. An indicating system receives the data of the crosswind components and displays this information.

摘要: A method of stabilizing asphaltenes in a petroleum hydrocarbon fluid is disclosed. The method includes contacting the petroleum hydrocarbon fluid with a polybenzoxazine comprising repeating structural units of Formula (I): wherein R1 is hydrogen, a C1-30 alkyl, a C3-30 cycloalkyl, a C6-30 aryl, a C7-30 alkylarylene, a C7-30 arylalkyl, a C5-30 heteroaryl, or a C3-30 heterocycloalkyl; and R2 is a C1-30 alkyl, a C3-30 cycloalkyl, a C6-30 aryl, a C7-30 alkylarylene, a C7-30 arylalkyl, a C5-30 heteroaryl, or a C3-30 heterocycloalkyl.

摘要: Generating heat within a combination solvent/acid system removes undesirable deposits from petroleum reservoir formations (especially the near well-bore region), oilfield equipment, and petroleum processing equipment. An exothermic reaction occurs between the solvent and the acid and the heat evolved helps remove organic solid deposits. The acids may include organic acid compounds, such as sulfonic acids, sulfuric acid and nitric acid. The solvents may include terpene- and terpene-derivative-containing solvents, including, but not necessarily limited to, limonene, pinene, dipentene, myrcene, turpentines and compounds having at least one double bond, such as methyl furan, dienes, styrene, vinyl acetate and the like. The exothermic reaction produces a great amount of heat, and together with using certain acids and solvents already known as effective to remove paraffin and asphaltene deposition, removing such deposits is improved.
