摘要： An electro-optic display comprises first and second substrates, and an adhesive layer and a layer of electro-optic material disposed between these substrates, the adhesive layer comprising a mixture of a polymeric adhesive material and an additive selected from a salt, a polyelectrolyte, a polymer electrolyte, a solid electrolyte, a conductive metal powder, a ferrofluid, a non-reactive solvent, a conductive organic compound, and combinations thereof. The additive enables the volume resistivity of the adhesive layer to be controlled. Also, in an encapsulated electrophoretic medium comprising capsules in a polymeric binder, the volume resistivity of the binder can be controlled in a similar manner.

The polyurethane is useful as a lamination adhesive in electro-optic displays, and in components used to form such displays.

摘要： An electro-optic display comprises a layer of solid electro-optic material; a backplane comprising at least one electrode; and an adhesive layer disposed between the layer of electro-optic material and the backplane and adhesively securing the layer of electro-optic material to the backplane, the adhesive layer comprising a thermally-activated cross-linking agent comprising an epoxidized vegetable oil fatty acid or an epoxidized ester of such a fatty acid. The cross-linking agent reduces void growth when the display is subjected to temperature changes.
