Abstract:
An ultra-power saving facsimile apparatus connected a general public switched telephone network (PSTN) and method thereof is provided for maintaining a standby state where less than 1 W of power is consumed using a power-saving circuit if the standby state continues for a certain period, thereby achieving a cost-saving effect. Accordingly, it is possible to realize the ultra-power saving facsimile apparatus that consumes less than 1 watt of power in the standby state and reduces cost by using a low-priced transistor, FET and photo coupler.
Abstract:
An integrated adapter and fax device using the integrated adapter are provided. The power supply converting unit and line interface unit, each of which has a first section and a second section that are isolated from each other, are configured separately in the integrated adapter. Thus, product liability and safety standards are fundamentally satisfied, material costs of an external case of the fax device can be reduced, the external case can be more freely designed, and a power supply line and telephone line can be easily connected by a modular jack.
Abstract:
A method for transporting an ink-jet head in an ink-jet printing system to the home position by use of driving voltage charged in the ink-jet printing system in the ink-jet printing system when power supply is cut off. The method for transporting the ink-jet head in the printing system to the home position when the power supply is cut off, by charging a storage unit with power from a power supply, when a level of the voltage drops to less than a reference voltage level during the printing operation, by stopping the printing operation, and transferring the ink-jet head to its home position by use of the storage units charged voltage.
Abstract:
A device and method for protecting a recording head in an ink jet recording apparatus. If no print command is detected at an idle state in which a power source of the ink jet recording apparatus is turned on, a head driving voltage for driving the recording head is cut off. Moreover, if there is no print data upon receiving a print command, the head driving voltage is cut off.
Abstract:
A shading profile value correction method and an image scanning device are disclosed. The shading profile value correction method comprises generating and storing reference shading profile values by scanning a reference white color, regenerating the reference shading profile values, and checking whether difference values between the stored reference shading profile values and the regenerated reference shading profile values are greater than or equal to a predetermined threshold value If a difference value is greater than or equal to the predetermined threshold value, a shading profile value of a specific pixel showing the difference value in question is replaced with a shading profile value of a pixel adjacent to the specific pixel for a subsequent scanning process on an image to be scanned. The method may be used for correcting the vertical black line on the print paper caused by the CIS pixel defects occurring in a progressive manner.
