Abstract:
An improved automatic image capture system for an intelligent mobile device having a camera guides a user to position the camera so only a single image needs to be automatically captured. Syntactic features, using a view finder on a display of the intelligent mobile device, are used to guide a user to maximize the occupancy of the view finder with the document so that the document is maximized within the view finder based upon detected corners of the document. When occupancy is maximized, the camera automatically captures the image of the document for post-processing using semantic knowledge of the document. A confidence level is computed based on the semantic knowledge to qualify an image with greater accuracy, and without user intervention, prior to transmission to a remote site.
Abstract:
A personal media player (PMP) uses a digital media processing system—comprising a video rendering subsystem, a music rendering subsystem, and a picture rendering subsystem—to produce moving-video (video), audio (music), still-graphics (picture), and other output rendered from media files ported to the PMP from another source. The PMP further comprises a user interface system, a display unit system, a power source system, and a data port system utilizing Universal Plug and Play functionality, all of which are coupled directly or indirectly to the digital media processing system. The physical components constituting the aforementioned systems and subsystems are then encased in a portable housing unit suitable for hand-held use and ready portability.
Abstract:
This disclosure details the implementation of apparatuses, methods, and systems for a portable, image-processing transmitter. The transmitter provides a platform capable of managing, manipulating, storing, and transmitting digital media files across a wide array of transmission means and protocols. In one embodiment, the transmitter may be employed by photographers, photojournalists, and/or the like to rapidly process, edit, and send photographs or video to multiple news agencies, newspapers, magazines, television studios, websites, and/or the like while maintaining control over their photographs by allowing them to send reduced quality and watermarked proofs. The transmitter may be configured to allow users to first generate and transmit low-resolution preview images, thereby saving on transmission time and resources, and only send full resolution versions once approvals of the preview versions are received. The transmitter's broad communication capabilities ensure that it is maximally effective in locating and exploiting available communication networks, even from remote locations.
Abstract:
Communication-identifier-assigned image data is transmitted via a set channel using the same as a communication identifier set for each image transmitter and a channel set in transmission. Then, a receiver which has received a plurality of image data items stores the received image data items, communication identifiers, and channels in such a manner that the received image data items are related to the communication identifiers and channels. Thumbnailed images in each image data item are displayed on one screen. When an image is selected from the thumbnailed images, an image transmitter that has transmitted the image is determined on the basis of the communication identifier and channel related to the selected image and is connected exclusively to the receiver. Images acquired from this time on are enlarged and displayed chronologically on a display section. The image transmitter and receiver constitute a wireless communication system.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit, a display unit, an antenna, an antenna control unit, a wireless unit, a reception strength detection unit, an identification information extraction unit, a recording control unit, a recording unit, a relative angle extraction unit, an estimated position calculation unit, a display control unit, an instruction input detection unit, and a wireless connection switching control unit.
Abstract:
A display apparatus transmits a picture acquisition request for getting picture information to an external image apparatus connected through a predetermined interface to the display apparatus from the external image apparatus at predetermined intervals and gets a plurality of pieces of picture information from the external image apparatus to be displayed. The plurality of pictures may be switched at predetermined intervals, for example, to be displayed, so that the plurality of pictures may be displayed in a so-called slide show manner. A plurality of pictures for thumbnail may be produced from the plurality of pieces of picture information and be arranged together to be displayed in one picture screen of a display device.
Abstract:
An image capture, conversion, compression, storage and transmission system provides a data signal representing the image in a format and protocol capable of being transmitted over any of a plurality of readily available transmission systems and received by readily available, standard equipment receiving stations. In its most comprehensive form, the system is capable of sending and receiving audio, documentary and visual image data to and from standard remote stations readily available throughout the world.
Abstract:
Communication systems, communication apparatus, and image processing apparatus, which connect with communication apparatus are disclosed herein. The communication apparatus includes a first memory, which stores first additional information; an additional-information notifying portion, which notifies the image processing apparatus of the first additional information; and a second transmitter, which transmits image data transmitted from a first transmitter to the destination apparatus. The image processing apparatus includes a second memory, which stores second additional information; an information generator, which generates third additional information; and the first transmitter, which adds the third additional information generated by the information generator to the image data and transmits the image data comprising the third additional information to the communication apparatus. The third additional information includes the first additional information notified by the additional-information notifying portion and the second additional information stored in the second memory.
Abstract:
A memory may include an interface unit to which setup information, an image file corresponding to the setup information, and instruction information are input from a device including a memory interface performing input/output with the memory, the setup information being used for setup for a connection to a wireless network, the instruction information indicating an instruction to process the image file, a storage unit that stores the setup information and the image file that have been input to the interface unit, a processing unit that processes the image file, which has been stored in the storage unit, based on the instruction information that has been input to the interface unit, a communication unit that performs wireless communication, and a setting unit that performs network setup based on the setup information corresponding to the image file processed by the processing unit among the setup information stored in the storage unit.
Abstract:
A wireless image transmission device includes an image processing main body; an image display unit electrically connected to the image processing main body; a first switching unit electrically connected to between the image processing main body and the image display unit; an image shooting control unit electrically connected to the first switching unit; and a wireless transmission unit electrically connected to the image shooting control unit. With these arrangements, images to be wirelessly transmitted from the wireless image device need not be converted in file type, so that the wireless image transmission device can have high transmission efficiency and simplified overall configuration to overcome the drawback of complicated configuration in the prior art wireless image transmission device.
