    摘要: A synchronization circuit includes a correlator, an energy calculator, a post-processing unit, and a decision device. The correlator correlates a received sequence r(t) with a local sequence c(i) to obtain a correlation result h(t). The energy calculator calculates an energy function of the correlation result h(t), and filters the energy function of the correlation result by a channel impulse response wc(l) to obtain a filtered energy function e(t), where l is the index of the channel impulse response. The post-processing unit applies weighting function wa(t) to the filtered energy e(t) to obtain a weighted energy function e′(t), wherein the weighting function wa(t) weights a central portion of the filtered energy function e(t). The decision device selects a maximum energy value from the weighted energy function e′(t), and the time index t with maximum energy value is the time shift of the received sequence and the local sequence.

    摘要: The invention provides an electronic device for acquisition of a dummy paging message. In an embodiment, the electronic device comprises a dummy pattern generator, a receiver, and a paging channel handler. The dummy pattern generator provides a first artificial pattern according to a previously received result corresponding to a dummy paging message. The receiver receives a first burst for a paging message. The paging channel handler controls the receiver to recover a first data content for the paging message according to the first burst and the first artificial pattern, determines whether the first data content represents a dummy paging message, and directs the receiver not to activate to receive remaining bursts for the paging message when the first data content represents a dummy paging message. The dummy paging message is employed for synchronization between a mobile station comprising the electronic device, and a serving base station.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for frequency offset estimation according to a filtered signal with destroyed phase information. In one embodiment, a filter filters an original signal according to a series of first filter coefficients to obtain a first-channel component of the filtered signal, and filters the original signal according to a series of second filter coefficients to obtain a second-channel component of the filtered signal. A series of third filter coefficients are first derived from the first filter coefficients.
