摘要: As described herein, the combination of one or more cannabinoids with non-thermal plasma in therapeutically effective amounts synergistically improves the effects of both. A method of treating a condition of a subject using non-thermal plasma includes applying a cannabinoid vehicle comprising at least one cannabinoid topically to skin of the subject, and, using a device that generates the non-thermal plasma, applying a therapeutically effective amount of the non-thermal plasma to the subject and the cannabinoid vehicle applied to the subject. The condition may be insomnia or pain in soft tissue of the subject, and the method can include the cannabinoid vehicle onto an area of the skin near the soft tissue and operating the device to emit the non-thermal plasma at a plasma frequency of between 100 Hz and 10,000 Hz onto the area of the skin for between 20 and 40 minutes.

摘要: A detection device for detecting and characterizing biological energy fields emitted by biological specimens is configured to collect and analyze an electromagnetic signal that includes millimeter-length waves generated by the interaction of atmospheric plasma with torsion waves of the biological energy field. The device performs spectral analysis on the millimeter waves to determine characteristics of the corresponding torsion waves that generated them. An array of several hundred non-thermal plasma plumes are placed directly in front of a circular horn. A switchable circular polarizer is used to select left hand circular, linear or right hand circular polarization. A low noise frequency converter allows a noise temperature of less than 1150 K. A frequency scan and averaging algorithm is developed to characterize noise temperature versus frequency, comparing signal and noise levels between plasma on and plasma off, and switching polarization sense.

摘要: A single non-thermal atmospheric plasma generation device is used to detect and analyze vital fields of a living subject to determine the presence of a condition, such as an illness or injury, and responsively modify characteristics of the plasma to treat, heal, or alleviate the condition. The device includes a capacitance dielectric discharge array of plasma emitters, and a controller having a power supply, a transformer, and circuit components for driving the transformer at a resonant frequency of the plasma emitters to cause the plurality of plasma emitters to ionize surrounding air and produce the non-thermal plasma. The resonant frequency is around 60 GHz and harmonics thereof. A receiver of the device recovers frequency mixing products from the plasma, which are extracted by signal processing circuitry; signals in the VHF and UHF bands are extracted and analyzed to determine whether signatures of particular vital fields are present.

摘要: An array of non-thermal plasma emitters is controlled to emit plasma based on application of an electric current at desired frequencies and a controlled power level. A power supply for an array controller includes a transformer that operates at the resonant frequency of the combined capacitance of the array and the cable connecting the array to the power supply. The power into the array is monitored by the controller and can be adjusted by the user. The controller monitors reflected power characteristics, such as harmonics of the alternating current, to determine initiation voltage of the plasma and/or resonant frequency plasma emitters.

The controller monitors the phase relationship between the transformer primary winding voltage and the gate drive voltage, and adjusts the drive frequency to resonance. Alternatively the balanced driver is configured as an oscillator which drives the transformer at resonance by default. A signal from the transformer driver generates an interrupt to the controller for synchronizing current and voltage measurements for power control.

摘要: A connector is configured to electrically connect a plasma emitter array with an identification chip to a power supply controller, and to further mechanically support the emitter device supporting the array during use. Cooperating components of the connector and emitter device form a magnetic latch assembly: the connector includes one or more magnets flush with a top receiving surface of the connector, and one or more alignment pegs extending outward from the receiving surface; the emitter device includes a steel plate attached to a substrate, and one or more holes disposed through the plate and the substrate. The holes align with the alignment pegs and the magnets attract the plate and secure the emitter device against the top receiving surface. Electrical contacts of the connector establish electrical communication with the identification chip, providing power to the emitter device and enabling the controller to read data stored in the identification chip.

摘要: An assay device and method of assaying the application of energy to a plurality of samples in vitro. The assay device includes a housing, an array, and a control module. The housing includes a socket sized to receive a culture plate. The array includes a plurality of emitters and is positioned within the housing adjacent to the socket so that the plurality of emitters are each aligned with at least one culture well of the culture plate when the culture plate is received in the socket. The control module is operably coupled to the array and is configured to individually drive the plurality of emitters. The control module is configured to drive at least two of the plurality of emitters at different frequencies simultaneously.
