摘要： A component with sealing grooves for receiving facial seals and with protective arrangements to protect such seals is provided. In one embodiment, the component is a ball valve including a flow control assembly with two closure members having outer surfaces with sealing grooves and protective ridges. The protective ridges facilitate separation of the two closure members from two connectors of a fluid conduit during installation of the body between the two connectors. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.
