摘要： A connector having a tuning tube attached to a secondary fitting where said secondary fitting is secured to said connector using a press fit or a mating thread structure and where said tuning tube is pinched between two different bore radius sections within the connector and a sleeve section of the secondary fitting. In an alternate embodiment, the tuning tube is held by one or more barbs or sharp edged annular rings formed on the inside bore of the connector. The tuning tube can be made of one or more sections of tubing joined together.

摘要： A coupling assembly includes a female member having a receiving end with an axially extending passageway and inwardly facing groove extending outwardly from said passageway in a position spaced from the receiving end. A split metal locking ring is positioned in the groove. A male member is sized to be received in said receiving end and includes a rib having a ramp where the ramp in a first embodiment curves outwardly to an apex and in a first alternate embodiment curves outwardly to a flat and in a second alternate embodiment increases in height in a linear fashion until a relatively short distance from the flat where it curves outwardly to meet the flat, the rib also has a shoulder tapering away from the forward end and inwardly toward the axis. Upon insertion of the male member into the female member, the split metal ring is expanded as it rides over the ramp, engages the cylindrical surface and retracts to a smaller diameter approaching its original size to engage the shoulder thereby locking the male member into engagement with the female member. A release sleeve is mounted on the male member and is axially movable relative thereto to push the split locking ring up and off of the tapering shoulder to thereby disengage the male member from the female member.

摘要： In one embodiment, a male coupling connectable to and separable from a female coupling (e.g., a female threaded port) is provided. The female coupling includes a receiving portion sized to receive at least a portion of the male coupling, where the receiving portion has internal threads provided therein. The male coupling includes a body having a passageway extending therethrough and a locking member disposed about the body and configured to move between locking and releasing positions. The locking member includes a retaining formation configured to engage the internal threads of the female coupling when the locking member is in its locking position. The male coupling further includes a locking sleeve disposed about and axially movable with respect to the body between first and second positions. After insertion of the male coupling into the female coupling and upon movement of the locking sleeve to its first position, the locking sleeve forces the locking member to move to its locking position causing the retaining formation of the locking member to engage the internal threads of the female coupling, thereby locking the male coupling and the female coupling together.

摘要： A coupling assembly includes a first coupling member having a first exterior surface and a second exterior surface spaced from the first exterior surface by a rib having a first locking surface. A second coupling member includes an inwardly facing surface sized to receive the first coupling member and an inwardly facing annular groove having a second locking surface. The groove is configured to reduce stress risers in the second coupling member. A resiliently expandable locking ring is received in the inwardly facing annular groove and is engaged and expanded to a larger radial size by the rib upon movement of the first coupling member further into the second coupling member. The resiliently expandable locking ring is configured to retract in diametrical size to become trapped between the first locking surface and the second locking surface upon further movement of the first coupling member into the second coupling member.

摘要： A coupling assembly includes a first coupling member extending along an axis from a leading end to a trailing end and having an exterior that includes a first locking surface. A second coupling member extends from a receiving end to a remote end and includes a receiving portion sized to receive the first coupling member. The second coupling member also includes a second locking surface. A latching sleeve is positioned between the first and second coupling members and includes a bead. The latching sleeve is sized such that as the first coupling member is inserted into the second coupling member, the latching sleeve is compressed as the bead engages the second coupling member and then expands as it moves over the second locking surface to become engaged between the first locking surface on the first coupling member and the second locking surface on the second coupling member.
