A hybrid Butterfly Cube (“BCube”) architecture is described herein. The BCube architecture is a server-centric network architectural design, and includes a plurality of servers. Each of the plurality of servers may have multiple network ports and serve not only as an end host, but also an intermediate relay node for other servers. The BCube architecture further includes a plurality of switches which are arranged in multiple levels. Each switch has a certain number of network ports for connecting to the servers. The BCube architecture provides multiple parallel paths between any two servers. A packet source routing protocol and a BCube source routing (BSR) protocol are used to determine which path is used for routing a packet between any two servers.

The present invention discloses a blade server management system comprising a plurality of management subsystems provided on each blade in a blade server and connected to each other via a local area network, each of which implements remote control and self-management for the corresponding blade, and said management subsystems including at least one master management subsystem for monitoring the operation parameters of the blade server through a monitoring subsystem; a communication subsystem provided on a backboard for connecting a external network and said local area network made up of said management subsystems; and a monitoring subsystem provided on the backboard and connected to said management subsystems for monitoring the operation parameters of the blade server based on a command from the master management subsystem. The blade server management system of the present invention has high system reliability and stability as well as a simple routing design while reducing the complexity of system design.

A method of backing up and recovering data in the hard disk of a computer, comprising a step of backing up data in the hard disk, including: allocating a mirror partition in a hard disk for backing up the data in a partition of the hard disk where the data need to be backed up are stored; backing up integrally the data in the backed up partition specified by the user into the allocated corresponding mirror partition; and hiding the space of the mirror partition; the method further comprising a recovery step for recovering integrally the hard disk data in the mirror partition into the corresponding backed up partition according to the instruction of the user.
