Abstract:
Systems and methods for InfiniBand fabric optimizations to minimize SA access and startup failover times. A system can comprise one or more microprocessors, a first subnet, the first subnet comprising a plurality of switches, a plurality of host channel adapters, a plurality of hosts, and a subnet manager, the subnet manager running on one of the one or more switches and the plurality of host channel adapters. The subnet manager can be configured to determine that the plurality of hosts and the plurality of switches support a same set of capabilities. On such determination, the subnet manager can configure an SMA flag, the flag indicating that a condition can be set for each of the host channel adapter ports.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for improved data packet transmission in a network bridge. Separate data packets received from a plurality of automation components are aggregated into a single data packet stream. The data packet stream is transmitted to another network node, for example, another network bridge.
Abstract:
A plurality of fabric controllers distributed throughout a fabric attached architecture and each associated with at least one resource node. The plurality of fabric controllers configured to control each associated resource node. Resources of the resource nodes are utilized in virtual environments responsive to respective fabric controllers issuing instructions received from the fabric attached architecture to respective resource nodes.
Abstract:
A data center security system and method are provided that leverage server systems on a chip (SOCs) and/or server fabrics. In more detail, server interconnect fabrics may be leveraged and extended to dramatically improve security within a data center.
Abstract:
In general, embodiments of the invention relate to a switch that includes a processor, ports, and memory that includes instructions, which when executed by the processor perform a method. The method includes obtaining, via a port, a global task-server mapping from a first server, detecting that one of the ports is congested. The method further includes, based on the detecting, identifying a task associated with the one of the ports using the global-task server mapping, generating a task listing based on the identifying, generating an alert including the task listing, and transmitting the alert to an administrator.
Abstract:
SAS expanders are commonly used within a SAS network topology to allow multiple disk drives (targets) to connect to multiple host devices (initiators). A connection between an initiator and a target is setup inside an expander on the pathway between the initiator and the target. A source device sends a connection request message called an open address frame using in-band signaling. The expander processes the open address frame and forwards an modified open address frame to the next expander in the path or to the final destination device.

Abstract:
A disclosed switch includes: ports that include a first port to be connected to another switch included in a first domain that includes plural switches to be virtually integrated, and a second port that is other than the first port; a first processing unit configured to obtain data of a switch included in the first domain through the first port; and a second processing unit configured to obtain data of switches included in a second domain that is adjacent to the first domain through the second port and obtain data of switches included in the second domain from the another switch included in the first domain to identify, from among the ports, plural ports that are connected to the second domain, perform a setting for the identified plural ports, and perform a first processing to make plural domains that include the first and second domains a tree structure.

Abstract:
This application describes routing packets from a source server to a plurality of ports of a switch. The switch is programmed by the control server and is used to direct incoming data packets to one or more ports of the switch in a manner that reduces congestion of incoming data packets to a destination server. Further, the control server queries congestion information from the switch, and then sends congestion notification back to the source server to either increase or decrease the amount of data being sent to the destination server.
