A skate base for a roller skate is attached to a shoe sole having at least two engaging sections on an underside thereof. The engaging portions are located corresponding to front and rear ends of an arch of a wearer's foot. The skate base has engaging members formed on a top thereof for releasably engaging with the engaging sections on the shoe sole. The skate base includes several axles to which wheels are rotatably mounted.

Disclosed herein is a method for manufacturing a master plate of an optical disc. The method comprises the step of: (a) forming an inorganic resist layer on a substrate; (b) forming an organic photoresist layer on and in contact with the inorganic resist layer; (c) irradiating both the organic photoresist layer and the inorganic resist layer with a laser beam to form a first exposed region of the inorganic resist layer and a second exposed region of the organic photoresist layer; (d) removing the inorganic resist layer of the first exposed region and the organic photoresist layer of the second exposed region; (e) removing the patterned organic photoresist layer from the patterned inorganic resist layer; (f) conformally forming a release layer to cover the patterned inorganic resist layer; (g) plating a metal layer on the release layer; and (h) separating the metal layer and the release layer.

The method prevents an optical disk from being scraped by an optical apparatus of a pickup head of an optical disc drive is disclosed, it mainly includes: moving the optical apparatus of the pickup head to a detection position in which the laser-light emitted from the pickup head focuses on the optical disk; detecting the first-detection position and setting a movement boundary according to the first-detection position, wherein the movement boundary has a upper boundary and a bottom boundary; preventing the optical apparatus from moving out of the movement boundary. The present method can be implemented without installing any additional apparatus in the original video disc player, and can prevent the optical disk and the inner apparatus of the optical disc drive from being scraped or damaged by the pickup head during a read/write process to increase the service life of the optical disk and the optical disc drive.

The locking device for a detachable skate of sports shoe in accordance with the present invention mainly comprises a rotatable hook, an elastic member, a lever and an engaging wall. The rotatable hook is provided on the detachable skate being adapted to releasably engaging with the engaging wall provided under the sports shoes. The elastic member is provided to bias the rotatable hook and the lever is used to rotate the rotatable hook for assembling or disassembling by means of overcoming bias force of the elastic member.

A wheel assembly for a roller skate includes a pivotal seat having a first end secured to a base of the roller skate, a wheel seat having a first end pivotally connected to a second end of the pivotal seat by a pin, and a wheel rotatably mounted to a second end of the wheel seat. A first elastic member has a first end attached to the pivotal seat and a second end attached to a mounting member on the wheel seat for biasing the wheel seat to a storage position in the base. A stopping member includes a first end mounted to the pin and a second end through which the mounting member is extended. A second elastic member is mounted around the pin for biasing a stop of the stopping member to a position for releasably engaging with the wheel seat to prevent the wheel seat from moving into the storage position in the base when the wheel seat and the wheel are extended beyond the base for skating.
