    摘要: A touchpad controlling method and a touch device using such a method are provided. The touch device is applied to an electronic appliance. The touch device includes a touchpad and a coordinate transformation program. The touchpad is used for detecting a number of touching points in response to the touching gesture on the touchpad and the position of each touching point. If the number of touching points is equal to 1, the electronic appliance is operated in a relative coordinate mode. Whereas, if the number of touching points is greater than 1, the electronic appliance is operated in an absolute coordinate mode.

    摘要: An iSCSI target apparatus is disclosed. The iSCSI target apparatus includes a buffer device, a network interface, and a host storage hardware. The buffer device is for buffering at least a packet. The network interface is coupled to the buffer device for accessing the buffer device to transfer the packet between the network interface and the buffer device. The host storage hardware is coupled to the buffer device for accessing the buffer device to transfer the packet between the host storage hardware and the buffer device. Movement of the packet in the iSCSI target apparatus only occurs between the network interface and the buffer device and between the host storage hardware and the buffer device.

    摘要: A method and device for flexible, dynamic and optimal buffering in a networking system are provided. Sizes of incoming packets are recognized and the packets are buffered into buffers of appropriate sizes. Usage times of buffers are counted, and during an idle state of the networking system, buffer number and descriptor number are re-calculated based on usage times. Then, buffers and descriptors are re-allocated based on the re-calculated number. By re-allocation, buffer sets with higher usage times are allocated with more buffers, and vice versa, so memory waste is lowered and the overall performance of the networking system is improved.
