    摘要: A liquid crystalline medium comprises a plurality of polymerizable monomers and a plurality of liquid crystal molecules. The liquid crystal molecules are selected from at least one of compounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. “G1”, “G3” and “G5” are independently alkyl having 1 to 8 carbons or alkyenyl having 2 to 8 carbons. “G2” and “G6” are independently alkyl having 1 to 8 carbons or alkoxy having 1 to 7 carbons. “G4” is alkyl of 1 to 8 carbons, alkyenyl of 2 to 8 carbons or alkoxy of 1 to 7 carbons. “Z1” is single bond, ethyl or methoxy. “Z2” is single bond, ethyl, methoxy, or caroboxyl. “Z3” is single bond, ethyl, difluoromethoxy, difluoropropoxy or ethyl carboxyl. “Z4” is single bond, ethyl, difluoromethoxy, or difluoropropoxy. are independently 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene. One of “E1” and “E2” is fluorine, and the other is chlorine.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel is provided. The method comprises the following steps. Firstly, an upper substrate and a lower substrate are provided. Next, a liquid crystal material is interposed between the upper and lower substrates. The liquid crystal material comprises at least one liquid crystal molecule and at least two photosensitive monomers, and the absorption peak of at least one photosensitive monomer is larger than 300 nm. Then, a voltage is applied between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and a ultra-violet with a first wavelength is used for irradiation so as to allow most photosensitive monomers to be polymerized as polymer. Lastly, a ultra-violet with a second wavelength is used for irradiation, wherein the second wavelength is larger than the first wavelength so as to allow residual photosensitive monomers to be polymerized.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a bottom substrate having a top surface; a sealant located on the top surface of the bottom substrate, wherein the sealant has a pre-curing temperature; a liquid crystal mixture including a liquid crystal material and at least one reactive monomer located on the top surface of the bottom substrate and surrounded by the sealant, the at least one reactive monomer having a melting point higher than 120° C., wherein the melting point of the reactive monomer is higher than the pre-curing temperature of the sealant; at least one polymer layer polymerized from the reactive monomer, located between the bottom substrate and the liquid crystal material; and a top substrate covering the sealant and the bottom substrate to seal the liquid crystal mixture and the at least one polymer layer.
