    Abstract: In one embodiment, a first optical network device includes a controller, and a first network interface, wherein the first network interface is configured to exchange data with a first layer 3 network device, and the controller is configured to obtain at least one optical circuit attribute including an optical circuit distance and/or an optical circuit latency of a first optical circuit in an optical network, and provide the at least one optical circuit attribute to the first layer 3 network device.     Abstract: In accordance with various implementations, a method is performed at a multicast gateway node within an operator network, where the multicast gateway node includes one or more processors, non-transitory memory, an ingress interface, and one or more egress interfaces. The method includes determining a multicast identifier for a user device in response to obtaining a registration request associated with the user device. The method also includes generating a header for a multicast data stream based at least in part on the multicast identifier in response to obtaining a multicast flow join request. The method further includes populating a packet associated with the multicast data stream with the header. The method further includes forwarding the packet to the user device via a portion of the one or more egress interfaces, where the portion of the one or more egress interfaces is associated with the user device.

    Abstract: Techniques for network validation are provided. A first request is received at a first manager component, from a first client. The first client and the first manager component are on a first node of a plurality of nodes, and the first request specifies a desired network service. A first network service endpoint that is capable of providing the desired network service is identified, where the first network service endpoint is on a second node of the plurality of nodes. A connection is established between a first validation agent on the first node and a second validation agent on the second node. Finally, upon determining that the connection between the first and second validation agents satisfies predefined criteria, a connection is established between the first client and the first network service endpoint.

    Abstract: In one example, an Edge Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (EQAM) communicates EQAM information to a Modular Cable Modem Termination System (M-CMTS) core using a routing protocol that is configured on a packet switched network coupling the EQAM to the M-CMTS core. The EQAM generates a routing message according to the routing protocol and inserts EQAM information, such as a description of a modulated channel extending from the EQAM, the service-group information, etc., into the routing message. The EQAM then floods the EQAM information over at least portions of a routing domain by transmitting the routing message to an adjacent intermediary device.

    Abstract: Techniques for adaptive thresholding are provided. A first data point in a data stream is received, and a first plurality of data points from the data stream is identified, where the first plurality of data points corresponds to a timestamp associated with the first data point. At least a first cluster is generated for the first plurality of data points, and a predicted value for the first data point is generated based at least in part on data points in the first cluster. A deviation is computed between the predicted value for the first data point and an actual value for the first data point. Upon determining that the deviation exceeds a first predefined threshold, the first data point is labeled as anomalous, and reallocation of computing resources is facilitated based on labeling the first data point as anomalous.
