Abstract: A cleansing bar composition comprising at least one cleanser chosen from soap and surfactant; phenoxyethanol; and one or more hydrophobic stabilizing agents, wherein the composition is a solid cleansing bar. Also methods of enhancing the deposition of phenoxyethanol by a cleansing bar comprising the step of pre-mixing phenoxyethanol with one or more hydrophobic deposition aids during manufacturing of the cleansing bar.
