Abstract: An aftercooler is provided comprising a housing, an outlet diverter coupled to the housing and having an outlet port, and an inlet diffuser comprising a forward wall having a peripheral rim coupled to the housing, an upper wall connected to the forward wall, a lower wall connected to the forward wall, a first side wall connected to the upper wall and the lower wall and having a first end disposed adjacent the peripheral rim and a second end disposed adjacent an inlet port of the inlet diffuser, a second side wall connected to the upper wall and the lower wall and having a first end disposed adjacent the peripheral rim and a second end disposed adjacent the inlet port, and a plurality of fins disposed within an interior volume of the inlet diffuser collectively distributing air across an outlet opening of the inlet diffuser for delivery to the housing.

Abstract: An exhaust system includes an exhaust manifold structured to be fluidly coupled to an engine. A turbocharger including a turbine housing is fluidly coupled to the exhaust manifold. An exhaust pulse converter includes a first portion integral to the exhaust manifold and a second portion integral to the turbine housing. The exhaust pulse converter is structured to reduce engine pumping losses by reducing cross-talk of exhaust blowdown events from the engine.

Abstract: An exhaust manifold is provided comprising a first log comprising a plurality of inlet segments each having a pair of inlet ports configured to receive exhaust gas from a pair of cylinders of an engine, a second log comprising a plurality of inlet segments each having a pair of inlet ports configured to receive exhaust gas from a pair of cylinders of the engine, and a collector coupled to the logs, the collector comprising a first pair of intake openings configured to receive exhaust gas from the first log, a second pair of intake openings configured to receive exhaust gas from the second log and an outlet configured to route the exhaust gas to a turbocharger, wherein the first pair of intake openings are coupled to a pair of bellows of the first log, each of the pair of bellows being coupled to an inlet segment.
