Abstract: An exterior material for an electrical storage device includes a matte-finished design which is achieved by a filler-containing surface coating layer and is resistant to damage due to heat sealing, the exterior material having superior moldability. The exterior material for an electrical storage device is composed of a layered body including at least, in this order from the outer side, a surface coating layer, a base material layer, a barrier layer, and a thermally adhesive resin layer. The surface coating layer includes a resin and a filler. The logarithmic decrement ΔE at 200° C. according to a rigid body pendulum measurement of an outer surface of the surface coating layer of the layered body is not more than 0.43.
