    Abstract: An armature winding of a rotary electric machine includes two systems of electrically independent windings. An armature winding of a first system is closer to the field element in the radial direction than an armature winding of a second system, A current control device is provided for controlling a current to the armature winding of the first system and the armature winding of the second system. In consideration of a difference in magnetic flux waveforms from the field element caused by a difference in the distance to the field element in the radial direction, the current control device differentiates a current waveform to the armature winding of the first system from a current waveform to the armature winding of the second system.

    Abstract: A manufacturing method of a field magnet device includes: an assembling process that includes assembling a plurality of magnets, which are prior to magnetization, to a magnetizer; a first magnetizing process that includes generating a magnetizing magnetic field from the magnetizer and magnetizing all of the magnets arranged in a circular ring form by using the magnetizing magnetic field; and a second magnetizing process that is executed after the first magnetizing process and includes generating a magnetizing magnetic field, which is stronger than the magnetizing magnetic field generated in the first magnetizing process, from the magnetizer, and sequentially magnetizing all of the magnets by using the magnetizing magnetic field generated in the second magnetizing process such that a predetermined number of magnets continuously arranged in a circumferential direction among the magnets are magnetized each time.

    Abstract: A vehicle wheel drive device includes: a rotary electric machine that is received on a radially inner side of a vehicle wheel shaped in a cylindrical tubular form and is configured to rotate the vehicle wheel; and a brake device that includes a brake disc and a brake caliper. The brake device is configured to generate a braking force relative to the vehicle wheel. The rotary electric machine includes a rotor and a stator which are opposed to each other in a radial direction. A hollow space is formed on a radially inner side of a magnetic circuit unit that is formed by the rotor and the stator. The brake device is placed in the hollow space in a state where the brake caliper is fixed to an axial end surface of the stator which faces in an axial direction, and the brake disc is rotatable integrally with the rotor.
