Abstract: A motor control device controls driving of a motor, which outputs torque to a rack shaft as a load by rotation of a shaft fixed to a rotor. The motor control device has a rotation stress check unit for determining a rotation stress indicating a rotation stress, which is applied inversely from the load to a protection target member such as a shaft, bearing and oil seal related to the rotation of the shaft or torque transmission to the load. The rotation stress check unit determines the rotation stress is excessive based on that an absolute value of a rotation evaluation value exceeds a stress threshold value. The stress threshold value is set to be larger than an absolute value of an upper limit value realized in normal drive control.

Abstract: A rotary electric machine control apparatus is provided which controls energization of a rotary electric machine having a plurality of winding sets. The apparatus includes an energization control circuit that is provided for each of the winding sets and has a switching element related to switching of energization to the winding set, a driver circuit that outputs a drive signal to the switching element through a signal line connected to the switching element, and a protection element that is connected to the signal line and in parallel with the switching element. When combinations of the winding sets and electronic components including the energization control circuit provided for each of the winding sets are regarded as systems, in at least one of the systems, performance of the protection element is differentiated from that in the other system to make noise resistance different from noise resistance in the other system.

Abstract: A motor having an iron stator, an iron rotor, and an aluminum rear frame serving as a heat sink The stator is fixed onto an inner wall of a housing by an interference fit, and two sets of three-phase windings are wound thereon so that a phase difference between the two sets of windings is (30±60×n)° (i.e., n is an integer), the rotor is provided inside the stator and rotates about a shaft by a rotating magnetic field generated by the stator due to energization of the three-phase windings, and the rear frame is fixed onto the inner wall of the housing by an interference fit, and holds a rear bearing that rotatably supports the shaft on one side of the rear frame in an axial direction.
