Abstract: A head-up display device displays a near virtual image and a far virtual image formed at different positions. The head-up display device includes an extension optical element, in addition to a first display surface that luminously displays a near display image and a second display surface that luminously displays a far display image. The extension optical element includes a reflective surface disposed on an optical path of light of the far display image. The extension optical element makes a far optical path distance of the far display image longer than a near optical path distance of the near display image by reflection of light by the reflective surface. The extension optical element has a transmission part that transmits light of the near display image in an area overlapping an optical path of light of the near display image.

Abstract: A virtual image display device that displays a virtual image by projecting a display light image to a projection area of a vehicle, includes: a low-frequency information acquisition portion that acquires attitude change information of the vehicle at a low-frequency band; a high-frequency information acquisition portion that acquires attitude change information of the vehicle at a high-frequency band; an image renderer that renders image data of the display light image corrected to reduce misalignment attributed to the attitude change at the low-frequency band; a projection optical unit that includes a display surface to display an original image based on the image data, and projects light of the original image as the display light image; and a display controller that displaces the original image to reduce the misalignment of the virtual image attributed to the attitude change at the high-frequency band.

Abstract: A head-up display device includes: a screen having a display area to which light is projected to image a virtual image; an outer housing that holds the screen; a scanner unit having a scanner oscillating about a virtual scanning axis to draw a display image in the display area by scanning of the scanner; and a scanner housing held by the outer housing and holding the scanner unit. The outer housing and the scanner housing have an adjustment structure to enable an adjustment of an emission direction of light emitted from the scanner housing at least around the scanning axis by a relative rotation of the scanner housing with respect to the outer housing about a virtual adjustment axis intersecting the scanner unit.
