Abstract: A map data generation device receives probe data including travel information and GNSS information from an in-vehicle device. The map data generation device includes a correlation coefficient calculation unit that calculates a correlation coefficient indicating a correlation between the travel information and the GNSS information included in probe data, a delay time calculation unit that calculates GNSS delay time based on the correlation coefficient, a delay time correction unit that performs delay time correction for the GNSS information based on the GNSS delay time, and a map data generation unit that corrects the probe data using the GNSS information that has been subjected to the delay time correction to generate map data using the corrected probe data.
