    摘要: Systems and methods for monitoring operation of an instrument cluster configured to display vehicle operating information to a driver. The system includes a camera pointed at the instrument cluster to capture images of operation of the instrument cluster. A control module is in receipt of the images of the instrument cluster. The control module is configured to compare operation of the instrument cluster as captured in the images with predetermined, expected operation of the instrument cluster. A fault condition notification module is configured to generate a fault notice when there is a discrepancy between operation of the instrument cluster as captured in the images and the predetermined, expected operation of the instrument cluster.

In a first configuration, the display engine projects vehicle operating information directly in front of the driver. In a second configuration, the display engine projects an augmented reality image of an environment ahead of the vehicle directly in front of the driver. In a third configuration, the display engine projects entertainment images at a center of a dashboard of the vehicle between a driver's seat and a front passenger seat.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a head-up display that has a first lighting unit to display first information on a windshield. The first lighting unit includes a first lighting source that emits light for the windshield as the first information and a first cylindrical casing that accommodates the first lighting source therein. The head-up display further has a second lighting unit to display second information on the windshield. The second lighting unit includes a second lighting source that emits light for the windshield as the second information. The head-up display further has a package disposed under the windshield. The first and second lighting units are installed on the package. The second lighting unit is installed on the package independently from the first lighting unit.

    摘要: A sensor is configured to monitor an intensity output of a light source of the head-up display and provide a measured actual light intensity value to a controller. The controller is configured to store a target light source intensity value in a computer-readable memory. The controller is configured to compare the measured actual light intensity value to the target light intensity value. The controller is configured to reduce the light intensity output provided at a vehicle operator viewable display surface in a situation where the measured actual light intensity value exceeds the target light intensity value.
