Abstract: An ultrasonic meter detects a flow rate of a fluid. The ultrasonic meter has a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a flow passage connecting the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet. The flow passage has a measuring tube, which extends in a straight line in a flow direction. An inner wall of a side wall delimiting a flow cross section of the measuring tube has at least one groove, extending in the flow direction, which enlarges the flow cross section. The side wall has an aperture and/or a step exclusively within the groove, between a normal region and a recessed region in the flow direction. A groove depth of the groove is greater in the recessed region than in the normal region.

Abstract: An ultrasonic meter for recording a flow rate of a fluid includes a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet and a flow channel which connects the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet and includes a measuring tube extending in a straight line in a flow direction. The measuring tube has a plurality of projections formed on an inner wall of a side wall of the measuring tube for delimiting a flow cross section of the measuring tube. The projections extend over at least a section of the length of the measuring tube in the flow direction and extend with a predetermined projection height at an angle, in particular perpendicularly, to the side wall. At least two of the projections have mutually different projection heights and/or the flow channel includes at least one bypass for diverting a part of a fluid flowing through the flow channel past the measuring tube.

Abstract: A flow meter detects a flow rate of a fluid. The flow meter includes a housing having a flow passage, through which the fluid can be guided from an inlet opening of the housing to an outlet opening of the housing, a measuring tube, which is inserted into the flow passage and constricts the flow cross section in one section of the flow passage, and a holding device, by which the measuring tube is retained on the housing. A respective flow straightener having at least one aperture through which the fluid can flow is arranged between the inlet opening and the measuring tube and/or between the measuring tube and the outlet opening. The flow straightener is configured as a separate component part, which is secured on the holding device by a form-locking or force-locking connection.

Abstract: A flow meter has fluid flow through a measurement path in a measuring tube with a main channel and at least one secondary channel. A signal input device introduces a measurement input signal into the fluid and a signal detection device detects the measurement input signal and/or a response signal induced by the measurement input signal. For a predetermined fluid, the main and secondary channels with a first total throughput of the fluid per unit time and with a second total throughput of the fluid per unit time, which is greater than the first total throughput of the fluid per unit time. The ratio of the throughput through all the secondary channels to the throughput through the main channel is greater in the second total throughput than in the first total throughput of the fluid per unit time.

Abstract: An ultrasonic meter for recording a through-flow rate of a fluid has a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and a flow channel connecting the inlet to the outlet. The flow channel has a measurement region which extends in a straight line in a flow direction. Between the measurement region and the fluid outlet, there is arranged a reflection element which is flowed around by the fluid and by which an ultrasonic signal is reflected into the measurement region. Between the measurement region and the reflection element, there is arranged a changeover region of the flow channel. In the changeover region a spacing between a central straight line of the measurement region and the side wall enlarges. The changeover region has, in the circumferential direction of the flow channel, several circumferential sections in which the enlargement of the spacing between the central straight line and the side wall takes place.
